Don't give the flu a chance to ruin your plans

Find a doctor or pharmacy

Visit the Find Care tool to find one of the many providers offered to Empire members. Or, find pharmacies in your area that offer flu vaccines.

How to get there

You may qualify for a no-cost ride to the pharmacy or doctor to get your or your child’s flu vaccine. Learn more about setting up a ride.

“Still going strong” – the Flu

Don’t let the flu stop your plans. Find answers to your questions about flu vaccines.

Flu vaccines are conveniently located at your local pharmacy or doctor's office.

You are covered. A flu vaccine is no cost to you at an in-network pharmacy or provider.

Many Medicare Advantage plans offer a no-cost transportation benefit to take you to and from your doctor or pharmacy so you can get your vaccination. Contact the Customer Service number on the back of your ID card to confirm if your plan has a transportation benefit, and for information on how to schedule a ride.

It’s best to be vaccinated before the flu begins spreading in your community. September and October are generally good times to be vaccinated against flu. Ideally, everyone should be vaccinated by the end of October.

Vaccination is still recommended because flu most commonly peaks in February, and significant flu virus activity can continue into May.
